We want to map the diversity of the maritime sector and support its sustainable transformation as well as connecting interested people and maritime stakeholders with each other.

Current EU funding opportunities for the maritime sector

The maritime sector in Germany uses regional and national as well as European funding programmes to sustainably increase its competitiveness and innovative strength. The EU funding landscape is characterised by a high degree of diversity in terms of scope, application procedures, administration, eligibility criteria, and funding rates of the different programmes. In order to make optimal use of these, knowledge of the funding programmes for the maritime sector and their calls for proposals is required.

We have developed the Maritime Funding Compass Europe as a tool for the maritime sector according to these requirements. The tool contains constantly updated information on the relevant calls for proposals of EU funding programmes. The user can access the data via a click path or also by independently filtering the available information.

The tool contains the essential background information for each funding opportunity (e.g. brief description, link to the call for proposals, form of support, information on eligibility criteria). Both the archiving of expired calls for proposals and the inclusion of new calls for proposals is carried out continuously.
